When things go wrong in a match

When things go wrong in a match

Just conceded a goal from a mistake? The game goes on… but your mind is still stuck on what just happened 😰

It’s not about the mistake.
It’s about what you do next - being able to move on and play the next moment with a clear mind.

😎 Recently, I came across an idea used by goalkeepers at a high level - and it’s worth trying. The concept is a small “reset” during the game. Something simple and quick that helps you leave the previous moment behind and return to the present.

📝 ;It’s nothing complicated. It could be re-adjusting your gloves, taking a sip of water and pausing for 1–2 seconds, or any small action.

What matters is finding something you train in practice and then use it when things go wrong to reset.

⚽ It might be worth trying it consciously next time you feel your mind stuck on a moment - and building your own routine in training so you have it when you need it in the game.

👉🏼 Try it in your next training.

If it works for you, reply - I’d like to see how many use it!
