How do I take care of my gloves?

One of the most frequent questions we receive at Fearless is how to clean, store, and generally take care of your gloves. Below you’ll find some tips and advice to help you make your gloves last longer and stay in perfect condition for both matches and training sessions.

+ Don’t use the same pair of gloves for training and matches
No matter how much every training feels like a game, in a match you want to get the very best out of your gloves. That’s why we recommend having a separate pair for training and a separate pair for matches. Once your match pair wears out, you can start using it for training.

+ Wash your gloves after every use
You should wash your gloves after each training session and each match, ideally using our Glove Soap, to remove dirt, mud, or black turf stains. Use water at room temperature and be sure to pour a little inside the gloves as well to wash away sweat. Once they’re clean, gently squeeze out the excess water and let them dry naturally. This is perhaps the most important tip for preserving the latex on the palm! Finally, you can also use glove deodorizer to eliminate any unwanted odors.

+ Store them when you’re not using them
Keep the plastic packaging bag that comes with your gloves and use it as a storage pouch. If you don’t plan to use your gloves for a few days, wash them and place them in the bag. Make sure the latex isn’t completely dry. That way they’ll be ready to go whenever you need them and won’t harden.

+ Machine washing
You can wash your gloves in the washing machine at 30 °C, but not too often, as it can damage the latex. Running them through the machine every 40–50 days is a good routine for a more thorough clean, especially on the inside.

+ Glove Glue
It’s essential to wash the palm after every use so that the material on the gloves doesn’t dry out on the palm.
